April 18 Here, It’s a Matter of Style

One of the great attractions to life in DC is the grandeur of its buildings and the beauty of its neighborhoods. This is a city deeply touched by architecture and design, from the majesty of the monuments on the National Mall to the intimacy of a wood-paneled Georgetown parlor. High style is a matter of tradition in this city. A tradition we very much wanted to honor at The Residences on the Avenue.

Of course, styles evolve and what was fashionable a decade ago is often not fashionable now. That said, when selecting the finishes and details for our residences, we pulled from a long history of interior design. Yes, we definitely wanted to provide the open, light-filled spaces that modern tastes prefer, but we also wanted to capture a timeless sophistication inspired by city’s best addresses. This required some innovation of our own and has resulted in interiors that we’re sure our residents will find both wonderfully contemporary and classically elegant.

This May, the first of our apartment homes will become available for residents and we’re sure that those who come by for a tour will appreciate the thoughtfulness they’ll find in every aspect of the residences’ interiors.

Take the studio apartments, for example, where a great deal of care has been put into an intimate space designed to feel open and roomy. Like our larger apartments, the studios offer such available touches as a culinary kitchen with Kashmir white granite countertops, Merillat® Sedona cabinetry and GE® ENERGY STAR® stainless steel appliances. There’s also Caesar® Ceramiche Ambiente Botticino Reale porcelain tile in the baths and Shaw® Belle River Goose Down carpeting paired with  Bruce® Springdale Gunstock hardwood flooring to create a modern-meets-classic feel. There’s even two-tone paints in Sail Cloth and Trusty Tan, Walnut Sedona interior door stain, designer lighting and sunshades, all chosen for their comfortable elegance and the way they make our residences feel like somewhere special.

We’ve put so much work into our residences because we believe this level of design is what you should expect in Washington, DC apartments on Pennsylvania Avenue. From the studio apartment floor plans through the 1, 2, and 3-bedroom floor plans, you’ll find a sophisticated sense of style infused with an equal sense of environmental awareness that perfectly captures the sophistication of where this city has been and the bright future towards which it heads. The superb selection of features and finishes in every one of these downtown DC apartments makes it clear: there’s a higher standard of refinement along The Avenue.
