May 13 Treat Yourself to Jazz in the Garden at National Gallery of Art From May 17 – August 23

The National Gallery of Art’s Sculpture Garden is the place to be this summer for their free series, Jazz in the Garden. Each Friday evening from May 17th to August 23rd a different performer will take the stage for a free concert, which makes a unique and inspiring way to kick off your weekend.

Enjoy Blues, Reggae, Afro Funk, and New Orleans Jazz styles during this hot summertime festival. Performances start at 5 p.m. just as the Gallery is closing, and they stretch past sundown until 8:30 p.m. The Pavilion Café will remain open each Friday to serve concertgoers, and it will feature a light menu of salads and grilled sandwiches, plus sangria, beer and wine. The lineup of performers is already scheduled for the full series, so check out the calendar and decide what evenings you’ll start your weekend at the Jazz in the Garden series.
